FAQs

  • I’ve never worked with a counselor or therapist before. Will it be weird?

Maybe—but only because being truly honest about your challenges isn’t exactly a social norm. Most of us are taught to shove our difficult emotions into a dark corner and keep grinding. The problem? That "strategy" has a 100% failure rate.

So yes, opening up might feel a bit foreign at first. It’s slightly uncomfortable to hand over the keys to the stuff you usually keep locked away. But here’s where my skill comes in: I specialize in taking that initial awkwardness and turning it into a productive, high-level conversation. I make the uncomfortable comfortable so we can stop surface-level skimming and get to the deeper work that actually moves the needle. You aren't here for small talk; you're here for a breakthrough. We’ll get there.

  • Therapy seems expensive. How will I know it’s worth it?

Let’s be real: you aren't paying for a chat; you’re investing in a permanent upgrade to how you function.

When you work with a practitioner who actually does the prep work and brings a high level of strategy to the table, the gains are compounding. This isn’t a temporary fix or a consumable luxury—it is a transfer of tools and self-mastery that you keep forever.

Think of it as the ultimate ROI. When you aren't held back by old patterns or mental fatigue, you show up better in your career, your relationships, and your own skin. Most people spend more on a week-long vacation to escape their life than they do on the work required to actually enjoy their life every single day.

You’ll know it’s worth it the moment you realize you’re no longer just "getting through" the week, but actually leading it with clarity and passion.

  • I’ve seen other therapists or counselors before. How are you different?

You know when you meet someone and you just like them? They seem different. Perhaps a little sparkly, more peppy, more hopeful. They have pizzaz! That’s me. I am passionate about the work I do and that devotion and zeal can be felt by the clients I work with. I genuinely and sincerely honor each client and they learn to do this for themselves, too. Sometimes we need someone else to see us and honor our light within before we can do this for ourselves. I see your light and can help you shine brighter.

  • What actually happens in our first session?

I’m not a fan of wasting time, and I know you aren’t either. Before we even meet, I’ve already done my homework. I collect your personal info and history ahead of time and I study it thoroughly. I’m not interested in spending our first hour together just checking boxes—I want to get to the good stuff.

Because therapy and coaching require an investment of your hard-earned money and your limited time, I honor those resources by doing A LOT of heavy lifting before you even sit down. We hit the ground running. I ask high-return questions designed to get to the heart of who you are immediately.

There is a distinct purpose to this first meeting: I want to articulate exactly where you are and exactly where you want to be. My goal is for you to leave that very first session feeling deeply seen, understood, and confident that we have a roadmap to get you to your goals, pronto. We’re here to get you shining, and we’re starting on minute one.

  • Do you accept insurance?

Short answer: No. Long answer: I’m not about it because I work for you, not a giant corporation.

Insurance companies love to put limits on your growth. They dictate things like specific diagnosis codes, a set number of sessions, and a bunch of other clinical hoops that honestly don't honor the unique human you are. I refuse to let a middleman in a cubicle at a call center decide how deep we go or how long we work together.

Instead, I operate as a concierge therapist. This means I am your partner in this process, even between sessions. I’m available and on-call for you when life actually happens—not just during our scheduled session.

If you have an out-of-network benefit, I am happy to provide you with a superbill that you can submit for potential reimbursement. But in this practice, we prioritize your progress over paperwork. I’m here to help you achieve your goals without the administrative red tape getting in the way.

  • I'm a busy person. Do I really have time for this?

Perhaps the better question is: do you want to take the time to keep living like this?

It’s a simple equation—if you don’t do anything different, you don’t get a different life. That’s just how the math of growth works. I know you’re an important person with a calendar that’s likely screaming for mercy, but here’s the secret: when you’re constantly overwhelmed, you’re already losing hours every day to stress, brain fog, and indecision.

Investing one hour with me actually creates time. By gaining clarity and reclaiming your energy, you stop spinning your wheels and start moving with purpose. To make sure this feels like a breakthrough rather than another "to-do," I offer flexible scheduling and online sessions. Taking care of yourself should feel like the best part of your week, not another chore on a list that’s already too long.
